"Son of anarchy" takes place in a fictional California town, Charming. The protagonist of the story, Jax Teller (played by Charlie Hunnam), is in a fierce ideological struggle. The Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club (or SOA) are an illegal motorcycle club and criminal syndicates. It was founded in 1967 by two Vietnam War veterans John Teller and Piermont "Piney" Winston in California. The plot revolves around SAMCRO (sons of an anarchy motorcycle club, Redwood original). The club has 28 branches around the world. The North American division is mainly located in Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Nevada, New England, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington, D.C., as well as Alberta and Manitoba, Canada. In the beginning, John Teller and Piermont "pine" Winston formed the club in 1967 after returning from service as paratroopers in the Vietnam War. The original title of the club was "Redwood", simply because they didn't live in any city. They cruised along the Northern California coast, from Eureka to the grand sale coast, a famous Redwood town. It was not until John's wife Gemma had his eldest son, Jackson, that they decided to take root in the town where Gemma grew up. In addition, John thinks that charming is more lovely than overbearing as a club title, so he calls the central department Redwood Originals, which is the nickname of SAMCRO.
The original intention of the club is a form of rebellion against the society by a group of people who hate the shackles of rules and long for freedom. At the same time, it is also to protect the residents of the Charming town from foreign gangs and drug dealers. The Department was founded in California with nine members, including six veterans. Later, most members of the gang were veterans, so they had strong combat skills.
